I’ve been so excited about this cover for so long. I’m really happy I can finally reveal it to the world. Created by the extremely talented Jason Gurley, I think it really captures the essence I was going for.
Danny Dirks and the Heir of Pendragon is a full-length young adult fantasy novel set in the modern day #1 in a trilogy. The book has been beta read, professionally edited, and professionally formatted. It’s now available for pre-order over at Amazon for $2.99, two weeks prior to its official launch on September 1st. I hope you’ll do me the honor of reserving a copy. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. As mentioned previously, I’m still looking for reviewers, so let me know if you’re interested getting a freebie. Also, any help spreading the word would be greatly appreciated. 😀
Update: The paperback artwork can be seen here.
Great cover! Very eye catching.

This is a dynamic cover! Very appealing and lush. What are your thoughts on having the author name rather small, versus big as your “brand”?

Haha! My own words come back to me! That’s usually my biggest complaint of other folks covers, “Your name should be bigger!” And, when I first got this back, it was my first response. I discussed it with the artist and we tried a few things, but ended up going back to this. I’m satisfied with it. In this case, this being a series, I’m thinking that the title “Danny Dirks and the…” has a stronger appeal, brand-wise, along with the visual aspects of the cover. It’s a big shift from some of my Andy Rane titles, where the author name is the same size as the book title. Definitely always something to keep in mind! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
